Russia telecommunications regulator, Roskomnadzor announced today that seven social media platforms would face fines "for failure to comply with the requirements to suppress the spread of calls to minors to participate in unauthorised rallies".

The Kremlin's most virulent critic, Alexei Navalny called for nationwide street protests on Saturday, January 23 after his arrest and a viral investigative video into an opulent $1.35 billion Black Sea estate that he and news outlets claim belongs to President Vladimir Putin.

“There are impregnable fences, its own port, its own security, a church, its own permit system, a no-fly zone and even its own border checkpoint. It is absolutely a separate state within Russia and about 39 times the size of Monaco."

“This is not a country house, not a cottage, not a residence. It’s a whole city, or rather a kingdom,” Navalny said.

He was jailed on January 17 after a defiant return to Russia from Germany, where he had been hospitalised following what the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons call nerve agent poisoning.

Videos in support of jailed opposition leader Navalny had racked up hundreds of millions of views on social media, especially TikTok with a large numbers of videos featuring young Russians talking about their plans to protest and offering advice to first-time protesters on how to behave at an unsanctioned rally, the first in years.

The "Free Navalny" and "Jan 23" hashtags on TikTok have garnered over 1.5 billion views with a new round of demonstrations slated for Sunday.

The Russian Parliament had in December backed calls enabling Moscow to ban US social media agents.

Social networks will be held accountable for involving teenagers in illegal activities.

Social networks Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, as well as YouTube video hosting will be fined for failure to comply with the requirements to suppress the spread of appeals to minors to participate in unauthorized rallies on January 23.

Despite the request of the Prosecutor General's Office and the notification from Roskomnadzor, these Internet platforms did not remove in time a total of 170 illegal appeals.

According to the provisions of Art. 13.41 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, which entered into force on 10.01.2021 (Federal Law of 30.12.2020 No. 511-FZ), violation of the procedure for restricting access to prohibited information by the owner of a website or information resource on the Internet shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine on legal entities by the court in the amount of 800 thousand ($10520) to 4 million rubles ($52760).

We remind the administrations of social networks that in the event of a repeated offence, the amount of the fine can be increased to one tenth of the total amount of the annual proceeds.

We ask the management of Internet platforms to refrain from disseminating calls for participation in unauthorized public events.

The announcement comes on the same day Putin criticised the seeming almightiness of big tech giants.

In a speech to the World Economic Forum in Davos via videolink, Putin warned that social media platforms were “no longer just economic giants — in some areas they are already de facto competing with states.”

“Where’s the line between a successful global business with popular services that [...] try to rudely and at their own discretion control society, replace legitimate democratic institutions [and] restrict the person’s natural right to decide how to live, what to choose and what viewpoints to freely express."

"We just saw it all in the United States," he said, without elaborating.

Alexei Navalny, alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Mexican President Lopez Obrador had earlier in January expressed deep reservations at the suspension of then-US President, Donald John Trump's Twitter and Facebook accounts.

In life , it's what you Sow, that you reap.

Social media giants sowed to the wind .They are reaping the Wild wind. It's unfortunate that innocent citizens will be affected.

The Virtual meeting of the Great Reset kicked off two days ago.
It's holding from 25th-29th January 2021.

The Main meeting is scheduled for sometime in May 2021.

What am I trying to say?
The World as we know will likely not return to Normal.
In the Coming months and days, we will be hearing strange decrees and all that.

The End of this age is Upon Us!!
There is No more time!!
This Ship is Sinking!!

The Coming of JESUS is Near HERE.
Repent and Believe the Gospel..

Alexei Navalny's criticism against Putin is dead on arrival, Putin is someone who has maintained political dominance for years. One thing is when he dies he won't go to he's grave with the stolen money, sometimes its better to just let some things be.
