OHAKIM CALLS FOR CALM
The governor of Imo state Dr Ikedi Ohakim has called on all Imo people and especially members of the people’s Democratic party(PDP) to remain calm despite provocations from the governorship candidate of APGA, Chief Rochas Okorocha and his followers for attacking Governor Ohakim, who was riding in the same vehicle with former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
In a release signed by the Chief press Secretary to the governor, Mr Henry Ekpe, the governor said no amount of provocations from the opposition or any group of people shatter the peace in the state.
“The governor is the Chief security officer of the state and has sworn an oath to protect the life and property of Imo people and therefore, cannot succumb to the antics of desperate politicians who want power by all means”. The release said Imo people are therefore advised to move freely and do their business, but parents are warned to ask their children to desist from being used by frustrated politicians to cause mayhem be in the state.
It would recalled that the governorship candidate of the APGA, Chief Rochas Okorocha unleashed his followers on the convoy of governor Ohakim with former president Obasanjo riding with Ohakim, along Wetheral Road, Owerri.
The APGA members carrying Rochas posters barricaded the road, pouring invectives on the governor, while others threw stones on the governor’s staff car.
Before the latest incident, Okorocha has sent thugs to invade an Owerri based newspaper, and abducted the Editor, for writing a story he found unfavourable. The damage done were estimated to run into millions of naira by the publisher of the paper, Chief Bright Njoku.
Many Imo citizens have condemned the attack, pointing out that Rochas Okorocha has lost the election, and therefore seeking to repeat the Akwa Ibom scenario in Imo state, but governor Ohakim maturely handled the situation.

@Andrewnwa, please stop fooling yourself. They have failed our people of Imo State. OHAKIM = OKOROCHA = ARARUME. They are SAME OF THE SAME (apology to Jimmy Agbaje). Shikena!!!

OHAKIM: should realize that four years is enough to achieve something meaningful other than CLEAN AND GREEN. What is even Clean and Green? Planting of flowers and clearing of refuse within Owerri Metropolis! For several months, lecturers were on strike in Imo State. What about 10,000 jobs scam? No road built or fixed? Water is as scarce as fuel! No portable water anywhere. To enjoy electricity, communities have resorted to self-help. Someone should tell us what Ohakim has achieved with Federal Allocation + Oil Derivative to do?

OKOROCHA is a lousy b.r.a.t! He goes about deceiving the gullible public with his non-existent or better still his over-hyped philanthropy. All na lie lie!!

ARARUME is not different either. Eight years as a Senator with nothing to show for it! He is one of them who would collect fund meant for constituency projects and utilize it alone. He, like others are accountable/answerable to no one. They would come seeking for sympathy during election time.

May the JUDGEMENT OF GOD fall upon all of them.
