A Yoruba group tackles a Yoruba man over a comment he made about another Yoruba man. These people loves themselves too much. I envy them 2 Likes |

A man's enemey is of his very own household. Same way Falz cashed in some serious clout in the struggle is the same way the father wants to cash in some using Igboho who he can never be as scape goat. To begin with Falani's emergence was do the chasing clout, rubbing body with the more successful names and lawyers ahead of him. He was never the case of brilliance in legal matters that brought him to the limelight. Please if you weren't born when Taiye Solarin and the rest were on the front line don't bother attacking me. This comment supercedes your intellectual know-how The same way Keyamo chased clout and cash out using Fryo 20 plus years ago is the exact same way Falana wants to chase clout, not for financial gains though, but for selfish fame-gain 1 Like |

While speaking on a BBC programme on Wednesday, Falana said herders who have lived in the area for 10 years had the constitutional rights to smh This is not the Falana we grew up to know... I wonder what happened to him... Although, constitutionally, Falana has said nothing wrong... But sometimes it's better to keep quiet when the matter is a very sensitive one... It's people like Falana that make Igbos call Yorubas betrayers.. 3 Likes |

Fahdiga1: I'm sure you are from the region where the army has the most checkpoints, the region with the most brutalized youths, the region with the most military operation in peace time, the most fulani appointed governors, we both know Hope Uzodinma or Umahi would lead the fulani to the Bush 2 Likes |

Fahdiga1: You can never understand. You are Igbo afterall. What Yorubas alone show consistently is the societal sophistication seen in countries like the UK, USA, Frances etal. I.e every group/stakeholder/interest group in a society primed to defend their views and stance uncompromisingly based on principles alone. Falana feels he must be fair to all, as per the notion of fundamental human rights, and the Igbimo Apapo Yoruba Lagbaye group feel the actions of Fulani bandits and criminal herdsmen forced Igboho's hand in the face of government inaction/complicity. Yorubas continuing to die, while the FG looks the other way, is not an option to the group. It is all about principled defence of our position regardless of who is offended. It is not something Igbos have in them or can understand. 1 Like |

Jagznation: He is not. Like I said above, you Igbos do not have the capacity to understand how Yorubas think and behave. Falana feels he is right defending the rights of everyone. Other Yorubas who feel he is wrong will tackle him robustly. Yorubas encourage that because it is good for us and helps us develop. Simple. He does not become a disgrace or an "efulefu" for being dedicated to his profession even if, on this ocassion, it is against his own Yoruba ethnic group. Every society needs all levels and all manners of checks and balances. Something the Igbo monolith ethnic society obviously lack to the detriment of the development of the average Igbo. It is why you guys are very intolerant and clannish. |
