Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana has said it will be difficult and inequitable to arrest the popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Igboho for asking Fulani herdsmen to vacate Igangan, Ibarapa area of Oyo State.

Falana, while featuring on a Channels television programme on Friday morning said the failure of the Federal Government to take actions when some Northern Governors repatriated Almajiris back to their home states shows that the issue of security in Nigeria is being politicized.

According to him, nobody has the right to issue quit notice to any Nigerian living in any part of the country.

However, the human rights lawyer recalled that the government at the centre did not deem it necessary to arrest a Northerner who once asked Igbos living in the North to quit, saying, “it is going to be difficult and inequitable to go for Sunday Igboho.”

He advised that the Oyo State Government should be allowed to handle the security situation in the state within the ambit of the law.

He spoke further that President Muhammadu Buhari has just said he’s not going to politicize the issue of security. But the security situation in this country is already politicized. We do not have the same standard. That’s why we run into problems.

When governors, recently in some states in the North, forcefully removed Almajiris and deported them back to their States of Origin, nobody protested on their behalf.

"If you do not protect the interest of Almajiris, why will you protect the interest of herders in any part of the country? This is why we have to maintain the same standard at all times and operate under the rule of law,” Falana submitted.

DAILY POST recalls that, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, some governors in the North evacuated the street children known as Almajiris back to their home states.

No sane person will nurture the idea of arresting Sunday Igboho...

But this is my prediction....The government as usual, will use indirect means to sabotage the process of restoring peace in the West by turning Igboho's efforts against him making him look like the devil here....

And will then arrest him and detain him and when they finally release him, he will be forced by the court to not incite any violence speech again against any group or tribe or risk spending the rest of his life behind bars....

If you think I am lying, ask Sowore and the EndSars protesters...

Putting an end to open grazing is the way out.

One of the simple ways everyone can take part in the fight against open grazing of cattle and the attendant violence and destruction is by NOT BUYING MEAT until further notice.

You won't die if you don't eat red meat, but you and many others can reduce the motivation of the cattle herders to rear cattle in your area.

Buy so doing, you can save the lives and farm investment of innocent hardworking Nigerians whose farms are waiting to be ravaged and destroyed.

By that little act, you can help stop the problem of food scarcity caused by the fear of farmers for farming and the destruction of their farms.

You are a civilian, but you can stop patronizing BLOOD meat, and financing our common enemy.

This is not the only step we have to take, but it is one of many strategies for fighting a common enemy who depends on us for patronage.

Let's boycott red meat until further notice. We won't die.

He is not end sars or sowore. Those ones don't have weapons...ends sars protesters will have a rethink now and know that placards don't work in the present-day nigeria. They only understand threats and violence. Look at bandits....given Hilux and millions of naira...etc.

Noone can arrest IGBOHO.......only if they had like to see Nigeria burn down.......

If there is anywhere to start arrest.......then that should be from miyetti Allah(MACBAN)..…....

IGBOHO never committed any crime.......he only fought/defended/stoop up for his people.....

Unlike........bastard tinubu and fayemi.......that had rather make themselves slaves.......jux to attain their greedy political ambition.........
