Gombe State university is in Gombe
and they are still looking for qualified lecturers and you must prepared not to collect any gift from any student and there is no sells of handout from any lecturers, you can only prepare your hand-out to cover a semester and give it out to the student to make a photocopy themselves

For fast academic year, conducive environment of learning, high academic standard, discipline, state of the art medical facilities etc

It is very similar to the anecdoctal rankings I have always given on NL before seeing that table. That is, there are no exceptional better universities but 3 just stand out slightly.

Group 1A: UI, OAU and Unilag.

does it really matter which school you attended or which one is first or better. in societies and climes that possess the basis and yardstick to grade, we will understand. the difference in the all these schools will probably be the number of obsolete equipment, dying facilities and local lecturers (that are not in touch with reality and the real world) that one has that the other does not. is there any university in this country where facilities are not stretched and where something industrially relevant and real time is being thought. no be every year these "best universities" dey turn out graduates who are continuously referred to as "unemployable". the sort of development and training we ought to get while on campus is now being done personally!!! people will only look at what you can deliver and your person. graduate with a first class from any Nigerian university and be an "industrial misfit" and see if people will care about which school u attended. imagine someone running a five year program in engineering without knowing anything relating to any form of relevant CAD design,  wen be sey our lecturers and profs no dey feel the pulse of the industry, all dem research work na soso copy n paste work, all of us no go school jare,  , and our government no dey try!!!!

who d hell is criticizing lasu ? which univ has one of d best col of med in nig ? what of law and mba programm, go to sch of engineering and see it yourself, no doubt lasu may not b d best in nig but fast growing and rated as d best state univ and far better than some federal univ in nig.gbam

4 top 10 universities-UNILORIN(BETTER BY FAR) comes first anytime anyday.The remaining 9 positions they (other universities) follows behind us.

The best University of all time stands to be Obafemi Awolowo University - for learning and culture. It is also called Oba Awon University which meand the King of all universities. No other school is worthy of the position. Structure wise, it is fantastic. The topography was put into good use. It was even meant to have an airport and a train terminal but the construction was put to a halt due to bad government not sponsoring education.

Students are educated in a strict manner which makes them tough and able to withstand all forms of challenges. A 3rd class student of OAU will definitely make a 2nd class upper in other universities, even abroad.
