AE-FUNAI WA CRECHE/NURSERY AND PRIMARY SCHOOL TAKE-OFF ACADMIC ACTIVITIES FOR 2020/2021
The Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Crèche/Nursery and Primary School, built and managed by AE-FUNAI WA, commenced academic activities for 2020/2021 session on Monday, January 18, 2021.

Recall that the new school was commissioned on Monday 14th December, 2021 by Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba, in the presence of his father, Chief Sir Jonah Nwajiuba, who was present in the campus to attend the Special 5th Convocation of the University, held on Tuesday 15th December, 2021.

President of AE-FUNAI, wife of VC and then Director, Centre for Enhancement of Teaching and Learning, Prof. Chinyere Nwajiuba stated during the commissioning, that the effort to build a Creche/Nursery and Primary School in the University started since 2016 when she assumed office as President of AE-FUNAI WA, iterating that the school will provide broad based and balanced education for the children of staff, most of who are still in their child bearing age. She also said that the school will equally provide opportunity for the children of the host community, thanking VC, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba and University Management for the critical roles they played and contributions towards the establishment of the school.

Prof. Nwajiuba distributed smart school uniforms reflecting the corporate colours of the school to pupils in their different classes, on Wednesday 27th January, 2021, and used the opportunity to call on staff and parents from Ikwo, host community, to register their children to the school as fees are affordable, while keeping to the University culture of seriousness.
