With clear evidences of termination instead of redundancy, she still went ahead to deny the employees their rightful benefits. This is why most companies will continue to cheat their employees because our judges are nothing to write home about. She also gave an unfavourable judgement to Bakerhughes employees. The company did not pay over hundreds of employees their redundancy claims.Pray for this country or you japa

Judiciary is a scam created to legalize the exploitation of the masses by creating the illusion of justice ... Yes Justice is an illusion and at best a mere imagination

Justice in Nigeria is gone...it favours only the selected few in power.

My court is my village and my judge is eepa with his white calabash. Consultation fee plus solution no pass 500 naira. The case go solve . Instant judgement. In Edo I trust

Industrial court judges are some of the worst judges in Nigeria.
Common citizens rarely get justice against those big co-orporate organizations at the Industrial court because those big firms have money to sway the judges to swing the judgement in their favour.

We have few judges who still have integrity in them in Nigeria, the rest are just bunch of sit down there judges under federal government payroll. Imagine a judge in Nigeria granting SOWORE 20million naira bail for staging a peaceful protest

She could not even award damages after several years of court cases. Some of the former employees are dead, families suffering while others are sick.Imagine going home with nothing after over 20 yrs of service. For those of you still working or planning to work for someone,be wise.Use your head no matter the company you work for.

The role of a judge is to decide based on evidence not emotion or convenience.
If you really have a "clear" evidence, you should win on appeal.

The actual judgement

With such weighty allegations put forward and considering the enormity of the sums involved, if the Defendant truly wanted this Court to believe that the Claimant was responsible for its significant financial losses, it should have reasonably desired to defend its act of dismissing the Claimant from its employ by producing evidence through a witness as required by the rules of this Court and the Evidence Act. I, therefore, do not believe the Defendant was justified in dismissing this Claimant in the manner it did.

“As such, the Defendant Counsel’s submissions and arguments requesting this Court to reject the letter of promotion for purportedly failing to meet the requirements of Section 84 of the Evidence Act are misconceived and misplaced and same are discountenanced accordingly.

Therefore, having already found that this Claimant was wrongfully dismissed, he is only entitled to all his salaries from the date he was dismissed, to the date of pronouncement of this judgment.
