https://www.nairaland.com/6391582/large-part-rivers-state-not This is a follow up to the earlier thread about the 1 month of outage outage experienced in some parts of Rivers State like Elelewon, Woji, Oil mill, Oyigbo etc. It was alleged that some abokis in collaboration with some indegenes vandalized 5Nos TCN tower amongst others thereby putting these areas in darkness since the 11th of December 2020. I finally got home today and heard lots of people screaming. Lo and behold, the light was finally restored. We now await their bills. Hopefully, we hope we won't be billed for the months there was no light. Also, we hope our area will be given prepaid meters so we do not have to pay exorbitant estimated bills. lalasticlala

PHED seems to be the most useless of all its compatriots... Not as though the others are any better but PHED seems to be the most useless considering they can't even supply good power to Mainland PH. EEDC even does a better job with its meagre distribution in Anambra  |

I stay in one of the affected communities. I don't know why people are blaming PHEDC and even blaming Wike. The problem was not from PHEDC. Some guys went and damaged the transmission lines to a very large extent. So it was the duty of the TCN to repair it. For me PHEDC has been very good in giving us constant light prior to this issue. But thank God sha the light has come back |
