The funds will mainly support three types of photovoltaic power generation and project utilization. One is community power supply stations, including the use of new technologies to develop photovoltaic power generation, bioenergy power generation, biogas power generation, and photovoltaic drying systems, etc.; the second is photovoltaic water pumping systems, such as Water tower pumping system with power generation of 2.5 kilowatts and water storage capacity of 20 cubic meters; 3. Self-power generation projects in areas without electricity, especially villages/communities/schools/hospitals in remote areas without electricity.

The 2.4 billion baht budget will be divided into two parts, one part is directly allocated by the government, each government allocates 25 million baht, and the total of the country's 76 governments is 1.9 billion baht. The other 500 million baht is used as a reserve budget for agricultural water tower photovoltaic pumping system projects.
