The fulani population in West Africa is about 25 million. Their population is minimal compare to three major ethnic groups in Nigeria but they are highly influential.

The Fulanis are the most widely spread ethnic group in West Africa and occupy top positions in most West Africa countries. Many West African leaders are Fulanis.

The status of the Fulanis in West Africa could have given them erroneous notion that they are far superior to any other ethnic groups and that their influence knows no boundaries.

They believe they can criss cross any West African territories with their cows without restrictions even with impunity.

All ethnic groups including the Hausas have problems with Fulanis. Unfortunately their problems bring Nigerians together rather than disunity.

There have been no reprisal attack against the Southerners in the North ever since the Fulanis come under violent check in the South.

I supported RUGA because of the perceived economic benefits of it. I must commend those who rejected the idea because it will end badly.

Why grazing?
The cattles sold in Lagos mostly are brought through trailers and sometimes rail. Even the Fulanis import cows from other African states and sell in Lagos. So what is the purpose of grazing cows in the bush from North down to South? Is it for the cultural fun of it? If those cows you are grazing are not the ones you want to sell in the market.

Just like the Eastern governors, The governors in South West should also ban open grazing so that their can be peace.

I wonder why the Fulanis will only choose to leave in the bush causing problems for farmers and security challenges almost every where.

Despite smaller population, the Fulani is well organized, and highly strategic.

Picture a few lions chasing thousands of antelopes. The antelopes could organize and at least use their sharp long horns, but no, they run, stamped, and crush each other as they struggle to be the lucky ones not eaten for breakfast.

That's Fulani vs Nigerians.

You guys think the Fulani's are warriors and powerful but that is far from the truth.

Their turf is treachery and a vengeful heart. In fact, without the Nigerian Military covers, the Fulanis can't face the Jukun.

I hope they adjust their beliefs to reality.

Nothing pointedly special about those forest dwellers! Problem with some of you is that you dread violence and the fulani aware of this always blackmail you lot to submission at every turn.. All these lion and entelope tales are nothing but cock and bull stories. The fulanis are in Chad, in Niger republic, in Ghana, in Guinea, in central African republic etc. It's only in Nigeria that they became sooo powerful because a large section of the country wanted to utilize their primitive violent tendencies to rocket themselves to the top of the food chain. It backfired after Obasanjo handed power over to Buhari. Otherwise, the fulani won't have been of any serious threat politically here..

They enjoyed the military cover for a long time but now the wanderers must be tamed and shown the way of statehood and not roaming about the bush

Want to know how come Fulanis became powerful in Nigeria?

Go back to the 1960s.
You will see where Nzeogwu was coming from.
Then, you will notice how easily they used the instrument of the government to get everyone, including Jukuns against the Igbos.

Then, you will see how everyone fooolishlly thought that they won the civil war to keep Nigeria as one.

Apart from Tinubu who has always had short term gains behind his actions, you will congratulate well meaning Nigerians like OBJ, IBB, Danjuma for hoisting Buhari and his Fulanis agenda on everyone in 2015.

Looking back is important, because that's the only way to understand how to move forward.

For 60 years, Fulanis have stealthily diverted attention from their motives by blaming Igbos for everything, and many people who are greedy fell for it.

Wake me up when Nigeria is ready to rise as a free nation.

Nzeogwu brought fulani oligarchy to it's knees in Kaduna within 30 minutes! To a scritching halt right there in northern Nigeria! The emirs were running helter skelter! Emir of Kano was in Ojukwus base for security.. They thought the Igbos wanted to annihilate all of them! There weren't much sophistication to the much vaunted fulani hegemony!Northern minorities joined mainly for two reasons.
1) because the coup killed some of their fellow northern minority officers and
2) because most of them were recruited into the army by the dead officers and politicians.

Igbo hatred is ingrained in the Nigerian psyche. It has little to do with fulani messaging but more to do with a general dislike for the Igbo man guts! Folks will not agree to it, but that's the fact:His boisterous nature, his loud displays, his arrogance, his "I'm better" and "I can do it better" posture, which he can back up most times and ofcourse, his wares which are always displayed to be seen....

Igbos are hated for the same reason the Jews are hated in the middle east or the Chinese in Asia! "Middle men" as Buhari calls them, always attract envy. Just that religious and political dichotomies in Nigeria along tribal lines helped accentuate this hate..
