Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has taken a swipe at President Muhammadu Buhari, for his lethargy and failure to call armed Fulani herdsmen terrorising Nigerians to order.

He stated that Buhari is the President of Nigeria not the President of the Fulani tribe where he hails from.

Ortom urged President Buhari to serve the interest of all Nigerians, reminding the President of his pledge to be the President of everybody and nobody in 2015.

Ortom made this known at a press conference in Makurdi on Wednesday after his recovery from COVID-19.

Heurged the President to act fast, adding that no Nigerian is a second class citizen or slave to the Fulani people.

Ortom also lambasted the Presidency for calling for the arrest of popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Igboho, over his quit notice to herdsmen accused of abductions, rape, destruction of farms, and others in the Ibarapa area of Oyo.

He accused the Presidency of being silent when herdsmen kill and maim Nigerians but swift to order the arrest of persons who resisted the criminal activities of the killer herdsmen.

Truth be told, Buhari's ascendance to power fuelled the criminalities of these herdsmen. It seems there's tradition among the Fulanis that they must not condemn any evil committed by their people.

I remember this same Buhari came to Ibadan in 2001 accusing the Oyo state government under the mat Lam Adesina of Killing and persecuting the Fulani Herdsmen. Lam quickly countered him by showing him concrete evidence of the carnage and criminalities being perpetrated by the Fulanis in Oyo State.

It is evil for Buhari to allow ethnic affiliation and loyalty to his trabal tradition allow the insecurity by his kinsmen to fetter.

I'm 100% sure OBJ would have dealth decisively the Yorubas if he were to be in power and Yorubas going wild.

A Fulani man recently accused Buhari and late Gen. Shehu Yar'adua of forming the Miyetti Allah for political gain. It is funny how Buhari's propagandists have to debunked the statement.

Buhari's academic incapacity, tribal sentiment and cabalistic tendency are the backbone of the herdsmen wildness.

I also pity those hoping the government will give them a go ahead to tackle the menace.


As we speak, there is no herdsmen in orlu and envirom. You can only see their backup section shooting and humiliating civilians in the town while their match are waiting for them in the forests.
This herdsmen didn't travel all the way down south with ak47, their military counterparts supply them.
