The Police in Niger State yesterday arrested three Beninoise and two Nigerians for allegedly trafficking in human parts.

The Beninoise - Dogo Gobi Haruna, Sabi Dokodo and Hamisu Abdullahi - were reportedly arrested at 3am on Monday at a Police check point on the outskirts of Minna, the state capital.

They were apprehended with the Nigerian, Abdullahi Haruna, in an Abuja-bound commercial bus with registration number, (Niger) AL793KNT, with some human parts.

The Police said the fifth suspect, Adamu Jibrin, was picked from his Nyanya, Abuja residence, yesterday. He was said to be the prospective customer for the human parts from the Beninoise.

Haruna, it was gathered, was to take the foreigners to Abuja from Kebbi State.

The Police were said to be trailing the prime suspect, Atiku Gwandu, said to be an Islamic scholar based in Gwandu, Kebbi State.

Gwandu reportedly engaged the Benineoie to exhume the body of one Bio Gurma from his grave in Benin Republic. The parts were reportedly roasted and parked in food flask for conveyance to Kebbi State.

Gwandu allegedly gave the men transport fares and directed Haruna to escort the parts and the other suspects to Abuja, where Jibrin was waiting.

Jibrin was to pay the emissary N5million on delivering the parts.

The Police at a road block outside Minna reportedly arrested the suspects, who were carrying the flask draped with a white cloth.

On opening the flask, an offensive odour was said to have emitted from its content, which the Police discovered to be human parts.

The suspects were allegedly hired by some politicians who wanted to win this month’s elections at all cost.

“From our findings from the suspects, we believe human parts are being sought for by desperate politicians who want to win elections at all cost… because when we asked them (suspects), they alluded to this fact.”

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Richard Oguche, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) said: “Besides the four suspects earlier arrested, we have picked the other suspect involved in the human parts trade from Abuja and our men have gone to Kebbi State to arrest the prime suspect.”

Is this one not madness? Is it that the 'juju' will make voters that have made up their minds to vote someone else, go out to vote for them?
Abi they use the juju on INEC officials?
Or maybe on the thugs they send to snatch ballot boxes
