Electricity has improved in Anambra state. Testimonies abound of more hours of electric power, resulting to comfortable living, more business hours and increased productivity.

Do you know why?

The Anambra state government under Chief Willie Obiano has revived Rural and Urban electrification so much that communities that never had electricity enjoy it now and even communities in neighbouring states benefit from the massive electrification projects in Anambra state.

Gov Willie Obiano has achieved this through the:

- Extension of 33KVA transmission lines from Oji Power station across 42 communities in Anambra State. Some Communities in Oji River in Enugu State and Umunneochi LGA of Abia state also benefited from this project.

- Building the Awada power station to supply 18 hours power to Ihiala, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Idemili North, Idemili South and some parts of Aguata LGAs.

- Creation of Nnewi feeder 2 extending electricity to communities around Nnewi

- Installation of no less than 400 transformers in both rural and urban communities

- Partnering with TCN to build six transmission stations in Nnewi, AguIeri, Umuchu, Awka, Ogidi/Ogbunike and Onitsha.

- The stations will be linked by 132kv line to form a power-ring around the state to power industries and commercial hubs.

- This is clearly evidential of the #ObianoEffect on rural and urban electrification in Anambra State.
