It is was zik who did that, not the entire igbos, and he rarely talked about in Igbo land today because of his role during the biafra war. That should tell you something.

But IF truly Awo wanted that clause, why did same Awo support the resistance of letting Igbo go during the biafra war? You see that the same crime zik committed, Awo also committed?

Both sides have been wrong in history and its left for us to correct that error now.
Awo and Zik were two greedy men who lacked foresight. 1960 and1967 was the South's best chances.

What nonsense is this! The Nigeria military is now the caricature of what it's used to be! Spit on our armed forces in Nigeria.

I wonder what would happen if the Eastern leaders come out and declare Biafra and the West's leaders also declare Odua.
But these governors are just stupid especially the ones in Enugu and Oyo.

Bro I get you, but I'm referring to the Biafran war, I feel all these won't be taking place if Awolowo and OBJ didn't give their support to Gowon...
I believe the Yoruba's had their reasons for siding with the rest of Nigeria in that war. I don't believe the idea that awolowo and obj swayed the Yoruba populace's decision in any way. Before you build on that theory renmeber the Easterners were stopped at Ore at one point. They minority under tgem have complains and now they are advancing toward the other major tribe in the south. You picture that from a Lagos perspective.

Well the south has made so many mistakes with because we didn't really know them, but now we do and the best thing is to unite and fight the enemy, I'm not blaming the entire yoruba race, it's just that the events that took place looks the way I'm putting it, please can you watch the interview with Ojukwu to hear from his own perspective and what exactly happened...

My brother this is a fearsome situation now.The man was revalidating his APC membership car today while the fulani-dominated Nigeria army are visiting another physical & mental torture on his people in Ogun state.

This is the same man that justified the useless army assault on #EndSARS protesters @ Lekki because of the money LCC are making there.A man that cant voice out now against his slavemasters terrorizing & killing his people because he wants to be the president? So disgusting.Never seen such a wicked man.

It is well i won't be surprised if you are getting abuse here cuz Tinubu errand tugs are here.

Tinubu supporters everywhere supporting him blindly. I am speechless. Yoruba elders have failed all the Yorubas. I've feeling come 2023, aboki hausa fulani is going to be president or head of state.

I base my comments on what both parties agreed on and not the discrepancies. The easterners advanced towards ore. They are still doing same till date with their online gimmicks. They can hardly build bridges and form true bond for political gains. You cannot play victim to blackmail a people, it may work on individuals though.

Bro I understand you, but the truth is the Igbos really want out of this union, their minds have been that way since after the war, though at some point their minds began to feel more to be part of Nigeria, that was during and after OBJ's presidency, but Buhari has really heightened it with opening of old wounds that maybe could have healed completely by now, Up till now the Igbos are not really ready for the presidency of Nigeria, because a lot are undecided and a lot have their minds on Biafra...

CodeTemplar has already told you the important thing "The easterners advanced towards ore"...

if the easterners really wanted to secede they will have limited it to eastern Nigeria and would have never advanced towards ore.

like I have told people on NL before I will also tell you:
"
if the civil war was successful, it means

1. the attack on ore by the Igbos led by a Yoruba person will have been successful which means millions of Yorubas would have been killed as Igbos attacks progress through states in the western region.

2. the whole Nigeria would have been under Igbo domination and it would have led to more civil wars because igbos will have to attack and conquer each region which means killing millions of non-igbo people and replacing their leaders with igbos...

3. it would have led to massive hatred for igbos by people from other regions...
e.t.c..
"

now change from my above comment change igbo to f:ulani and tell me if what the igbos were trying to do in the 1960s is different from what the f:ulanis are currently doing and have been trying to do.

stop the lies. In that Ore. Did Igbos go house to house killing yorubas?

This whole thing was not even caused by Igbos of current South East but they were victims of the repercussions and they had to do the needful by pulling out of Nigeria to save what was left of their race.

to "pull out of Nigeria" means to leave Nigeria, so what are igbo soldiers doing in Ore with guns attacking western Nigeria?

the whole thing was caused by igbos and people lik Zik, Ironsi, Ojukwu e.t.c. who couldn't stop coveting the wealth, political, economic positions of the other ethnicities in Nigeria..

You number 2 is wrong, Igbos never wanted domination through the war, it was Nigeria that went into war with Biafra not the other way round, so your number 3 and your suggestion below it would not have happened, what led to the war was same thing Nnamdi Kanu is dragging for today, Ojukwu had already declared a country and wanted it that way Nigeria refused and threatened war if Ojukwu refuses to back down, so it was never a war of domination from the Biafran side, it was a war of secession, so If Biafra had won, it would have been declaring independence and signing of agreement not to fight us with anymore, same thing we are asking for today, if you nee the video of Ojukwu's interview I can send it to you...

This is the problem i have with some foolish Igbo soldiers. Another group had gone there to escort the herdsmen and beat up the villagers. No one know the name of the officer commanding them. The group has messed up and the resilient villagers had written a petition...now the army responded by trying to intimidate the villagers further and in the process had sent the an idiot of a captain Onyebuchi.

What an a**e he is fighting and trying to defend bunch of incompetent and barbaric army supporting a savage and violent fulanis.

it was and is illegal for anyone to wake up and declare a country thanks to Zik..

In spain, the catalans want their own republic and they do it through protests....

why was it after Ironsi was killed that Ojukwu now wanted to secede

ironsi the man that abolished regionalism and put unitary system which sucks wealth from all the regions of Nigeria and gives the regions peanuts...
