During the recent burial ceremony of Late Chief Bolu Akin-Olugbade, most of his Rolls-Royce cars, clothes and books were put on display for the ceremony attendees to see. Media reports claim that the “Service of Songs” ceremony held at the late billionaire’s residence in Lagos state. All of his friends, family and well-wishers that attended the ceremony were reportedly given exclusive close-view of the late billionaire’s collection of books, clothing and Rolls-Royce cars.

For those who do know, the Late Chief Bolu Akin-Olugbade hails from the Owu Kingdom in Ogun State and he was notably one of the biggest Rolls-Royce car collectors in the world. His penchant for the Rolls-Royce brand made him attach customized number plates to each of the units in his collection. Each number plate reads “BOLU 1”, “BOLU 2”, “BOLU 3”, up to “BOLU 10”. During his burial ceremony, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV with plate number “BOLU 10” and a RR Phantom VII sedan with plate number “BOLU 9” were put on display.

According to current records, the Late billionaire is one of Africa’s largest collector of Rolls-Royce cars and he was the biggest collector here in Nigeria as at the time of his death. History has it that the business mogul bought his very first Rolls-Royce car back in 1984 and fast forward to 2019. He already owns 10 Rolls-Royce cars in his collection.
