According to this herdsman in Ebonyi State, he claims that the host community has been attacking the fulani settlers and feel the quietness of the fulani is a sign of weakness.

Though there have been calls for a retaliation. The fulani herdsman says they intend to wait till the news of what they have been going through in the hands of the Ebonyi villagers go round Nigeria before they take a decision on what to do.
