One of Nigeria's all-time athletic greats, Blessing Okagbare has been inducted into the Guinness World Record having the most appearances in the World Athletics Diamond Meetings.

The certificate reads: "The most appearances in Diamond League meetings by an athlete is 67 and was achieved by Blessing Okagbare (Nigeria) between 3 July 2010 and 31 August 2018”.
The certificate was branded ‘OFFICIALLY AMAZING.’

The 32-year-old disclosed this via her twitter page early Wednesday morning.

In an online review of the world top 10 sprinters in 2014, Blessing Okagbare was selected as the best ahead of Justin Gatlin, a five time Olympic medalist; Kaliese Spencer, Dafne Schippers and Kirani James.

Okagbare ran a personal best of 7.10 seconds in the women’s 60 meters race at the American Track League on Sunday February 7, 2021. She also took to the 200m track to earn another lifetime best, a 23.01 seconds finish to win her heat.
