A company based in Abuja is currently looking for a young and vibrant individual to fill the position of a Communications Officer that will manage and improve all communication flow within and outside the company.

The Key Responsibilities for this role includes:
o Provide support and guidance to project team to ensure project and donor communications obligations are met
o Develop key messages, press releases, and statements for external audiences, in response to evolving events.
o Participate in relevant communications-related working groups with local and international organizations and associations in Nigeria.
o Create contents - multimedia and visual resources, maximizing the use of internal communications platforms, and increasing program and impact visibility.
o Oversee the creation and maintenance of a digital communications resources - fact sheets, success stories, lessons learned, communiqué’s, and any other relevant materials
o Inform and support learning activities, including field visits, focus groups, workshops, roundtables, and other events
o Manage all the company’s social media pages
o Provide support in carrying out project research

Required Skills and Experiences
o A degree in Communications, Public Relations, or similar relevant field
o 2-3 years previous working experience as communications specialist
o Ability to break down complex concepts and terminologies in simple language.
o Experience and knowledge in creating website and social media content
o Excellent portfolio with proven track record in creative writing
o Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
o Up-to-date with the latest trends, strategies and technologies in digital influencing.
o Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
o Some graphic design skills and ability to develop simple infographics is a plus.
o The ideal candidate has a flair for creativity, innovative systems and ideas.
