evacuates 1,930 bags Following the massive importation of contraband, Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) yesterday ordered that warehouses and markets stacked with smuggled rice across the South-West should be raided. Hammed Ali (rtd), who gave the directive, said that the move was part of measures to get rid of smuggled foreign parboiled rice and to boost local production of rice in the country. https://www.newtelegraphng.com/customs-moves-to-raid-warehouses-with-foreign-rice/

While the northern fringes of the border are just free gangways for bandits/terrorists to take a walk in a park. Gagging the economy of the south to service the cursed region. 136 Likes 2 Shares |

After seizing the bags of rice, they will ferry it to their brothers up North to sell and make money off the backs of unfortunate Southerners. It is the same northern thieves/vagabonds/terrorists that will not allow farmers in the South enter their farms and harvest their crops in peace. Ndi sophistication, well done. 76 Likes 2 Shares |

Oga custom yi o ja fafa. Some of your officers are also collecting bribes and aiding the smugglers so how exactly can you identify ALL stores with local rice when it’s already in their warehouse? Some will even keep it hidden in other locations coz they know the customs will be looking for them in their stores. Nigerian agencies will just rush to the media like they are working, arrest few and after some months everything returns to status quo. 7 Likes |

That means customs know all the warehouses where rice are stored. They should know where fakes things are stored too and leave our foreign rice for us. How can foreign rice be cheaper than local rice. 1 Like |
