Really on government at your own peril. Sports should not be solely owned by government. It should be commercialized so that investors will come in. When sports in Africa, especially, Nigeria is run as business, there will be great improvement.

This is good ,very good gesture from the Governor....Motivating the players and rewarding them financially by the number citizen of the State is very good,not like heartland who couldn't even pay for their hotel Bills....

only if our government can take this our local state football clubs more serious and involve private investors it will create alot of job opportunities than we think also it will unite this country (it would be fun travelling with your team to a state you have never been before even if it is for two days)

But he should have given both teams the same type of bus, as in he should have given the female team the same big bus he gave the male team.
My reason is purely based on functionality and safety and not sexism, the smaller bus he gave Rivers angels does not have on board toilet and from experience, these footballers always travel by bus and not by air to any state in Nigeria they have matches, so when the players of Rivers United are traveling to say Kaduna and any player feels the need to use the toilet, he will just use the on board toilet-SAFELY. But for the Rivers Angels, if they are on same trip to Kaduna and anyone of them feels pressed, the driver will have to stop so the girl will alight and use the bush, in this period of kidnappers, robbers and bandits on the highways. That's unsafe

This is a very good move by the governor, the boys have been performing very well in the NPL, this should motivate them to win the npl this season and qualify for the bigger tournaments in Africa.
