Recall the comedian was arrested alongside 39 others for protesting against the reopening of Lekki Tollgate.

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Lagos State Command had warned Nigerians not to embark on the protest.

Mr. Macaroni stated that the NPF threatened to kill them, adding that the police officers boasted that “nothing will happen.”

“If words were not out that we have been arrested, people would have died clean and clear,” the comedian said in a video posted on his Instagram page.

He continued, “They were saying we will shoot you and nothing will happen.

“Nigerians we are in a serious sh*t. But it is not enough to silence our voices. What are we saying, do not open the Lekki Tollgate until justice is served.”

Macaroni urged Nigerians not to disparage other celebrities for not coming out for the protest, noting that people are scared.

Speaking further, he denied being sponsored by a former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. He poured curses on those peddling the rumors.

“I don’t believe in curses, but I will have to do this. I did not collect money from anybody. Anybody that says I collected money from Atiku will not know peace for the rest of your life.”

He added that he will be going to the hospital to get treated for the injuries he sustained while in the police net.

“I am going to the hospital for a check-up because the police beat me very well. They said I must get a sense. The Police destroyed my phones,” said Macaroni.

These activists are exaggerating to make a name for themselves. You were beaten and you would have died indeed. So anyone police arrest for protesting is beaten and killed? Crap.
