The Katsina State Police Command has blamed one of the old generation banks for the eventual kidnap of one of its staff living at Shagari quarters in the outskirts of Funtua, Katsina State last Thursday. https://thenationonlineng.net/police-blame-bank-for-kidnap-of-staff-in-katsina/ 5 Likes

This policeman should shut the hell up. He thinks banks are like police or millitary that build barracks for their personnel? Banks dont have/build staff quarters. They pay their staff housing allowance and the staff rent houses wherever they want. But i know some banks have something like Transit Camps, where newly posted staff can stay for between 1 and 3 months, so they know the town before renting house and move out. But it's in places like lagos or abuja. I cant expect such to be in funtua, which is not even capital of katsina state. Infact, when obasanjo introduced monitization policy, all federal govt quarters were sold off. So if federal govt cant provide quarters for their staff, is it a bank that has more than 100 branches all over nigeria that will start building staff quarters all over the country? The responsibility of securing citizens and their properties lies entirely with the police. Police has failed the citizen, and blame game wount change the fact. 72 Likes 3 Shares |

He said:’’The bank staff was staying outside the metropolitan area, in fact on the outskirts of Funtua that is insecurity prone and the bandits kidnapped him. ‘’For somebody who is new in an environment where he is not an indigene of Katsina not even from the North to be employed by the organisation and left to hang out in any questionable environment does not speak good of such organisation. Is there supposed to be insecurity in the first place and you mean indigenes are more safe in the north than non-indigenes and we claim one Nigeria, this statement is coming from our police force headed by a northerner, now you know why police will arrest you in your own land when you complain about fulani eating your farm.... 36 Likes 3 Shares |

For the fact that Buhari has been silent on the issue of insecurity throughout this country speaks volumes of his person as the most useless and unproductive president Nigeria ever had. Despite his promise to protect and defend the masses, he is seeing to the distingration of this country through nepotism, tribalism and his degrading nature. 12 Likes 1 Share |

Spokesman of the Command, Superintendent Gambo Isah, told The Nation the failure of the bank to provide decent and secured accommodation for their staff often exposes them to several security risksThe police should just go ahead and do their job to secure the release of this banker. This is not the time to be apportion blames. That can come up later when he is released safely. Wakanda rubbish is this ? 5 Likes 3 Shares |

One could never have imagined that Nigeria could descend to this level of insecurity! It's becoming clearer and clearer by the day that our size is no longer in our favour. Time to peacefully break the country into manageable fragments. It's enough already! 3 Likes |
