When filming the music video for his song, "It Ain't Hard to Tell" Nas made another ode to Wild Style on the same stage as the film's final scene. In the backdrop of "Live at the Barbeque" his verse on "The Genesis" is performed.

"In the intro, "Nas tells us what he wants us to know about him, according to music writer Mickey Hess. The train is slang for New York; the scarcely discernible rap is, in fact, his verse "Live at the Barbeque"; and the dialogue comes from Crazy Style, one of the first films to concentrate on hip hop culture.
