Nigerian Govt Irresponsible, Nigerians Should Bear Firearms – Miyetti Allah by vegafbs: 9:17am On Feb 15, 2021
The Bauchi State chapter of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, has called on the Federal Government to allow all Nigerians to have access to firearms.

Sadiq Ibrahim Ahmed, Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN in Bauchi State, said Nigerians should carry firearms to protect themselves amid the spate of insecurity.

Ahmed made the call in response to a comment by the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed defending herdsmen carrying AK-47.

Mohammed had said herdsmen carry AK-47 and other forms of arms to protect themselves in the forests.

Reacting, Ahmed said Nigerians should be allowed to defend themselves because the government had failed in providing security.

Recall there have been recent herdsmen attacks on Nigerians in different parts, most recently in the southern part of the country.

” The government has become irresponsible. That is why a Fulani man has become an outcast in his own country.

“All his wealth has been crippled to activities of cattle rustlers. What do you expect him to do?

“Let everybody protect themselves, let everybody carry arms. You don’t allow a few bandits to come and ruin you, kill you, kill your family as few people cannot be terrorizing everybody
,” Ahmed told The Nation newspaper.
