The social stratification in the Northern part of Nigeria is so brutish. Both Fulanis and Hausas deliberately keep some set of their people in penury for cheap labour, religious and political thuggery.

Herdsmen are not owners of the cattles they are grazing. Politicians and businessmen are the owners of these cows. They gave them to the poor and illiterates among them with AK 47 for cheap labour.

What do we expect poor illiterates to do with AK 47?

Obviously, a man with 50 to 100 cows is a millionaire and such person cannot be scouting the forest. So herdsmen are errand boys and not the owners of herds.

Ofcours we should not expect someone who is well taken care of to be kidnapping. Whenever those guys commit crimes with rifles given to them by their sponsors they quickly lobby for their protection.

Bauchi state governor came out clearly that herdsmen have to carry AK 47 despite banditory and terrorism going on in the North and they expect Southerners to fold their arms and look on while they give weapons to the hooligans called herdsmen marauding our farms and forest with cattles down South.

What stops the Fulanis from raring their cattles up North and bring them down South through trucks and rail for sale?

Why should they occupy our forest without proper documentation and authorization from the land owners?

Why do they refuse to live among the people?
