A friend just got admitted to Study System Engineering at a University here in Nigeria. He asked me what it entails and even after checking google, I can't quite say for sure that this is what they do. Please I'd really love to know what System Engineers do. Thank you.

Typical activities include: Analyzing system challenges and identify the best solution to meet project needs. Taking a project from conception to completion. Systems engineers develop and oversee all aspects of a complex system to solve a problem, from the initial creation of the system to production and management. Systems engineers design, integrate and maintain complex systems and product lifecycles that support complex problem-solving and product development in a variety of industries. Systems engineers may work in technology, transportation, product development and manufacturing, and their duties vary accordingly.

A systems engineer designs, implements, and manages complex systems within an organization. They ensure that hardware, software, and networks work together efficiently, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Systems engineers collaborate with teams to develop solutions, maintain stability, and enhance security, supporting smooth operations and business growth.
