Hello Nairalanders abroad, please help a brother out. I was talking to a USA FB friend the other day and I asked her if one can live on $500/month in the US. She said not unless the person will live in a sandbox so rent is eliminated. Even so, one can hardly survive on that. The lady didn't know I was asking because I was feeling my way around to understand what to expect when I finally japa from lasgidi. So, as we kept talking, she explained that $4k/month will do even though a family will struggle on that amount. After our talk, I figured I should be aiming for at least $500/day if I were to make it to the States. I mean, it's not enough to go there and live but also to send money home. So, my question for yo'all already abroad- I don't mind which country- how easy is it to earn $500/day (legally, of course) over there?. Is the figure unrealistic? Your experience and input is much appreciated. |
