Wahala for who renounce citizenship.

But no problem. The chronic unseriousness of Nigerian leaders was the reason he did that in the first place. As a prodigal son, he is welcome to take back his citizenship.

Next time, if he wants to renounce Nigerian citizenship, he should do so after he's gotten well established in liberal places like Canada, UK, Australia and maybe the US.

South Africa is like glorified Nigeria, just much better than Nigeria but nonetheless exposed to the irregularities and leadership evil that also plagues Nigeria his motherland.

So what did SA do here?

He had a wife in Nigeria but lied and never mentioned it. Married an SA woman to get citizenship, divorced her and brought in his Nigerian wife. Rubbish. He could have brought in the Nigerian wife as a sister and still maintained his fraudulent citizenship.

SA and Nigeria are not on the same level, pls. And stop blaming SA for the fraudulent ways of many Nigerians in SA. Rubbish.

He erred but he's still a Nigerian by birth. May be SA didn't support dual citizenship he had to denounce Nigerian citizenship first.
But he was dumb for making too many mistakes.

Him village people strong oh.....since 2005, they have been on his case, 16 years later they located him.

He became complacent and took many things for granted.... He would have just obtained another marriage license from Nigeria with new dates would have sorted the problem out!

A classic example of a liar’s inability to continually maintain his or her lies as, they have to constantly produce new lies to cover previous ones.

That could have worked only if he had not listed the same woman as his sister earlier in some of the documents. That man didn't deserve his PhD at all.

It has nothing to do with Nigerian poor leadership. The man renounced his citizenship out of greed and fraud. He will never get the citizenship back, even to go to his village he wouldn't be able to because no country grants a stateless person visa. This craze to leave Nigeria has to stop. Yes, the country has lots of issues but who will fix it when everybody leaves? Whats the difference between such people and Nigerian girl that always like ready-made men??

A country cannot render you “stateless” if you originated from such country, but you can certainly be stripped of an acquired citizenship for various reasons. In this case, he apparently obtained his citizenship by FRAUD, which means that his purported “citizenship” was itself a NULLITY, as if it never occurred in the first instance. In addition, as a general principle, courts will not uphold or enforce CRIMINALITY.

Don’t personally know about Canada and Australia...
But rest assured the US or the UK will most definitely expel him for FRAUDULENTLY obtaining citizenship.

People have been stripped of citizenship in the US for fraud after decades (in one case, after 33 years)!

A slowpoke like you ought to have known that there is no place for fraudulent people irrespective of what he must have attained or acquired.
You are here supporting a fraudulent act, obviously you are also a criminal.
As a matter of fact his academic credentials will be call to question and everything about him will be thoroughly investigated, that is what differentiates Nigeria to other countries.

It will take a very long process for him to get one,he will have to forward an application to the President of the country through the ministry of Internal affairs,he might be on it for up to 4yrs he will be lucky if he gets it.
