1. Check to see if the person is responsive 

Sometimes, they might just be lightheaded when they collapse, not completely passed out. Before you start the resuscitation process, you need to first confirm if they’re fine. Here’s how:

Ask verbally by tapping their shoulders and shouting, “are you okay?” Note that shouting is necessary because if they’re still conscious, but lightheaded, their senses might not be fully receptive to signals.
Look for normal breathing. If you don’t see any signs of breathing, call an ambulance immediately.
