I recently got admitted to do a top up program in economics but I wanted to do marketing, unfortunately they don't offer marketing directly in the school.

Is it possible one does MBA in marketing after studying Economics without PGD?

An MBA is a professional qualification rather than an academic one. What that means is that your prior course of study is not relevant in most cases. Engineers, lawyers, etc can do most MBA m programs, so yes an Economics graduate should easily be able to do an MBA in marketing.

Next time, simply take about 5 different universities and check their admission criteria.
