Please nairalanders, elders and people with legal experience in the house, this woman needs your help, On monday night around 10:30pm, a lady rushed down to my house to come and meet a girl that happens to be my neighbor that her boss husband is about to kill her boss, this girl left immediately by running, people that saw her running asked me what was the matter, and i told them the information she just received, and we all ran after her, on getting to the house of this woman, no matter how much you hate ladies, you will definitely be sorry for this woman, we met her husband outside, beating her like a criminal, with the woman completely naked, covered with bruises and sand, with swollen eye and lips, worst of it all, this woman is pregnant and the pregnancy is about five months according to her sales girl, she way clinging to a bag which her husband is trying to take from her, we intervene and save the woman from her immediately, but her husband was shouting we should tell this woman to give him her atm card or she should transfer at least 400,000 to his account immediately, else he is going to kill her, when we realized we couldn't handle the situation on our own, we took them to the bale's (community chief head) house, even bale couldn't handle the situation as this man keep repeating the same thing that he is going to kill his wife unless she gives him money, the bale told the woman to find somewhere to sleep for the night, and they should both come back in the morning.
The husband story at the bale's house the next morning, he said his wife has been using his bank account number since they got married over four years ago, he said he has to change the bank account alert mobile number to his wife own, because his wife is using this same account for her daily business transactions, but around January, his wife opened her own account too, but she is still using his own account number, but on this monday night, when they are about to sleep, his wife told her that, they will need to go to bank the next day, for him to change the bank alert number back to his own, because the bank alerts she is receiving is getting too much on her phone, the husband said this infuriated him, as he has gone to the bank earlier in the day to check his bank account balance, and the money in the account is not up to 1000, when asked how much is in the account before his wife started using the account, he said he has no money there, when asked why was he now infuriated, he said his wife has money, and she should have left nothing less than 400,000 in his account, that his wife used him,
The wife story, she said she started using her husband account number about four years ago, she said she's literally the husband in the house, in the sense that for over three and a half years now she has been the one taking care of the family financially and domestically, she said her husband doesn't know how much is their two daughters school fees, doesn't pay house rent before she build the house they're living now, that he can't even ordinary tooth paste, she said she's the one footing the bill for clothing, feeding and even hospital bills of her husband as he happens to be a sickle cellar, she said all her husband does is sleep with her, she said she makes it her habit of sending 20000 naira to her husband grandparents every month, as her own parents are dead, she said whenever her husband family have occasions, she is the one that do foot her husband own bills, she said she spent nothing less than 250,000 naira on two his junior brother from august to early february this year aside feeding, all just to please her husband, but problems started when is not making much money as usual again, she said when her husband asked her for money and she couldn't give him, he finds a way of checking the bank account balance on her phone, and started quarreling her, that she is a bad woman, she said when she asked her why will he be checking the account balance, she said his excuse is that after all the account belongs to him, she said that was the reason why she decided to put password on her phone message, told him to they need to change his bank alert number back to his own. but the husband See's nothing wrong in the whole of the woman explanation, all he was saying is that the woman uses him, when we see that

I don't know the state you are resident but try to find the contact of the office of the Domestic Violence Response Team as it is in Lagos state and refer the woman there.

I am not even concerned about the financial issues between them but the FACT that is she is 5 months pregnant and the husband felt at ease hitting her, not bothered it could lead to gynecological complications such as bleeding, premature birth or even killing their child (feticide).

The man is mentally not okay and has refused mediation, he would only calm down after he has caused irreparable damage and then blame it on the devil. It is high time Nigeria start having prisons within psychiatric hospitals like in the one I work in.

Encourage the woman to take their children away to a place, that would serve as a safe home while their issues are being sorted out.

The woman should pack her two girls and go stay somewhere else even though it is a hotel until the matter is resolved. How you be broke and unfortunate at the same time. The husband is nothing but a liability to her. They should even dissolve the marriage sef.

where are her family members, she needs to leave that house at least for now. Report to the police and the Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team in Ministry of Justice, Alausa. Its far tho but she need stop help herself
