My Toyota rav4 2004 model is bringing knocking sound, mechanic recommends I get a new crank shaft and the whole issues will be solved. Some recommend I do a top overhaul & change the air filter to boost the engine power & performance. The engine groans and struggle to climb any slightly inclined elevation. Car auto-mech gurus, kindly advise. I don't want to waste my hard earned money on solutions that won't yield a reasonable result..... Don't even waste your precious time n money in fixing that engine it would still go back after just few months of fixing. The best option is engine replacement n u r good 2 go. Thats my 2cents. |

This is coming from someone who was directed affected by a similar problem. Just save up to buy a tokunbo engine, for peace of mind. Repair works will get you going for few months only. Going to two years now, the engine I changed is still in a very good working condition. Early morning and evening steam. |

Buy an half engine. That is no alternator, no kick, no ignition coil n some other things. |
