Heartland FC of Owerri suffers minor set back with a 2-0 win from Enugu Rangers FC Naze Millionaire today suffered minor setback at the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League against Enugu Rangers at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu State. Heartland, fielding a near full-strength team, failed to come through against Rangers who played them to 2:0 win in the week 13 of NPFL. Captain of the club who spoke to newsmen shortly after the game: “It’s a huge setback for the club. “We’re going to have to make necessary changes in our next game in the league.” At the end of the match, the Chairman House Committee on Sports IMHA Rt Hon AmaraChyna Iwuanyanwu encouraged the players not to be down-spirited, rather build on the positives from the match and apply it on other matches to be played by the club. Heartland FC has won five (5) straight matches in a row which includes a draw against Oriental Brothers, FC IfeanyiUbah at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, followed by two consecutive victories against MFM FC in Lagos and Lobi Stars at the Okigwe Township Stadium; also draw with Sunshine star of Akure and 2:0 against Dakkada FC of Akwaibom. Government officials present includes Imo Deputy Speaker Rt Hon AmaraChyna Iwuanyanwu, Enugu Deputy Speaker Edward Uchenna Obosi, Commission for Sports Mr Dan Oguh, Hon Philip Ejiogu, Hon Gogo Nwaneri, Commissioner for Youths and sports Enugu State, Mr Manred Nzekwe and Hon Dele.
