FCMB To Support Nigerian Women Businesses With SheVentures Program by Marayesa1: 7:16pm On Feb 28
Nigeria's leading financial institution First City Monument Bank has announced the 2021 edition of her SheVentures Program, an entrepreneur development program for Nigerian business women and women empowerment.

The program seek to provide support for who women who owns or run business in Nigeria, providing the support they need to thrive and also grow their business. The program is part of the Bank’s activities to celebrate the International Women’s Day.

The program also provide a mentorship opportunity for female business owners through a network of qualified mentors carefully selected by the financial institution. SheVentures offers Nigerian business women access to guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modelling for a successful career.

As part of the program the Bank has also partnered with consultants in various fields of business to provide key professional services at discounted rates to its women in business customers. Not forgetting exclusive business training events which FCMB either directly organizes or in partnership with other leading organizations.

Access to loans at zero (yes, zero!) or competitive interest rates – through its flagship zero percent loan product, FCMB offers short-term loans to female customers who need quick access to funds. At the #SheVentures launch event alone, about 40 female SMEs were awarded loans of between N500,000 to N5,000,000 at zero percent interest. In addition, there are other loans such as the FCMB BOI Gender Loan, which comes at 15% interest.

A lot of women are bread winners of their families and also, more and more young women are venturing into entrepreneurship, they need all the help they can get. Kudos to FCMB with this initiative

Totally agree with you. Imagine a Zero Interest loan up to 5Million, that's unheard of especially for a bank. If I were a woman I'd be looking at how to be a part of this program

read it somewhere that they are going to give 10k to 10 people if they record a video or something. It's good to see banks do things like this to support people.

Nice initiative, many other brands should emulate this. It's really a nice thing seeing FCMB support women especially in hard times like these.

This is a great initiative, kudos to FCMB.
I believe there are lots female entrepreneurs in Nigeria, but due to financial difficulties they’re not growing.

This is indeed a value added initiative by FCMB... Meanwhile they are also honoring the International Women's Day by celebrating women achievements globally for a more inclusive world.
