Northern tomatoes (and other perishable goods) farmers lose billions of naira in one week of the blockade of farm products to the south!

Now, these are what would eventually happen to the South should the blockade continue:

1) Southern money will remain in the south

2) Sales of chickens and fishes (South being the major producer) would surge, producing more jobs and profit to southern farmers

3) South would get serious about Cow rearing, using ranching at the core of it, and granting the prayer of 'farm safety' that the southern farmers have always been praying

4) Largely, South would rejuvenate her general farming system, deploying her mass knowledge in science and technology to engineering high-yielding farm products

Las las, South would innovate and move on!

It was not out of place if the South had, hitherto, depended on the North for farm product supply. It was a matter of people doing what they have passion for, much like how our Igbo brothers love to trade.

That southern Nigeria now has Nigeria to rejig her agricultural system.
