The Delta State police have rescued sixteen kidnapped victims from the hands of armed kidnappers in Ogor, Ughelli north, HGS Media Plus reports.

The incident happened on Wednesday, March 3 around 7:37pm in Ogor, Ughelli north.

According to report, the police received a distress call that an unknown gunmen was attacking sixteen workers on duty in a building site belonging to a hotelier, Mr Zion Onofighe.

A patrol teams was said to have been immediately dispatched to the scene where they engage the suspects in a fire fight and then later rescued the victims and the hotelier.

A Toyota highlander jeep which the suspects used for the attempted kidnap was also recovered.

Spokesman of the Delta State police command DSP Bright Edafe confirmed the rescued and said that a manhunt has been launched to get the suspects.
