The spate of insecurity has now gotten to its climax in the country, as it appears no where is safe in all the geopolitical zones of Nigeria.

Two travellers were on Saturday evening abducted at Wasinmi area, along Ife-Ibadan expressway in Osun State, south west Nigeria.

The victims were said to be heading towards Ikire area.

Confirming the incident, Osun police command spokesperson, SP Yemisi Opalola disclosed that the police have deployed personnel to the scene of the incident.

She also revealed that three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, while police have intensified the search for the abducted victims.

Recall that some travellers were on Tuesday last week abducted at Ibokun-Osogbo road in the State all because of insecurity in the country.

One was shot dead, while two others sustained gunshot injuries.

The police at the weekend announced the release of seven abducted travellers, stating that security operatives were still on the trail of the kidnappers.
