IGNORANCE! Nigerian man reportedly catches a Blue Marlin fish which is worth $2.6 million and ate it with his village people

According to several unconfirmed reports making round on social media, a Nigerian man reportedly caught a Blue Marlin fish days ago in Warri, Delta State, and ate it with his village people without having a knowledge of its financial value.

One of the reports which was sourced on social media stated;

This man reportedly caught a Blue Marlin fish days ago in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria and killed it. Little did he know that he has eaten the wealth for his generations to come.

Blue Marlin fish is one of the fastest fishes on earth and one of the top sporting fishes in the world.

A Blue Marlin fish is valued at about $31,000 per pound which is about N14.5 million. If the reports are correct, he would have sold the fish for 2.6 million dollars which is about N1.2 billion.

You need to understand we are a third world country and our major problem is survival (i.e) FOOD. We have no business with conserving wildlife, definitely not a big FISH.

”Have you eaten?” is a love language in Nigeria, e get why.

Without an intent to support his misdeeds, but, how would he have known that the fish was worth that amount? Before this post, did you have the slightest idea of what sort of fish that is and its value? You can see the sort of people in his midst, aren't they of the same ilk? Who amongst them could have estimated the fish and tell it was worth millions?

While we should be held accountable for our misdeeds, I would say it isn't his fault. A lot of people castigating him would have done the same. No jokes, since Nigerians eat everything these days.
