Douglas jack Agu, better know by his stage name runtown, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer. He rose to prominence after the release of his hit track ‘gallardo’ a song which features vocals from Davido and was released as the first single off his first studio album ‘ghetto university’ which also features American rapper ‘dj Khaled’ in the same project under his former label ‘Eric manny’. In 4 November 2016 runtown released the balled ‘mad over you’ which chatted number 38 on billboard twitter top tracks chart. The hit ‘mad over you’ was the best Nigerian single by far in the following year 2017. On June 2018 runtown left his record label ‘Eric manny’ in some controversial manner and set up his own record ‘soundgod music group’. Ever since then runtown have drops singles like energy, international badman killer, emotion, body Riddim, kini issue, why, as e happen for Lagos etc. though these singles listed above are not totally trash. They are actually good tracks but non its a hit. His last hit was actually his participation on end sars protests. Lately he have been spending more time with his Sudanese girlfriend than on studio. There was a rumour that his old label ‘Eric manny’ wanted to get him collaborate with the likes of Nicki Minaj, Chris brown and drake if he had renews his contract which he turned down.
