The Government of Kaduna State, via the office of the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs has given an update on the abducted female students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka-Kaduna, Mando area. Recall that the institution, which is one of the four colleges under aegis of the Forestry Research Institute of Nigeria (FRIN) was reportedly attacked by gunmen late on Thursday, who carted away with some students, which an eye witness said were only females. Channels TV reported that the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, disclosed in a statement issued nd sent across today Friday that no fewer than 172 students of the college have been rescued, alongside 8 others.
