Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole is set to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress APC following his meeting on Friday with the Chairman, Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee CECPC of the APC, Gov. Mai Mala Buni and governor of Jigawa State, Mohammed Badaru.

Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Yobe state governor, Mamman Mohammed disclosed this in a statement issued Friday in Abuja.

He said the governor had hosted Bankole and Badaru and discussed a wide range of political issues including the movement of the former Speaker and his supporters into the party.

“It is evident that APC’s opportunities in Ogun state is growing and widening. It would be recalled that former Governor of Ogun state, Otumba Gbenga Daniel who was also former Director-General of PDP’s Atiku Abubakar Presidential campaign organization has recently joined the party”, Mamman stated.

Lol. I see APC winning the election easily in 2023 as there won't be enough sagacious politicians left in the PDP to help the Party mount a challenge.

No wonder they don't want Tinubu to contest the primaries since they know the winner of the APC primaries is likely next President of Nigeria.

The same way no one was left in Oyo PDP in 2017 when they all decamped to APC. Akala, Arapaja etc.
Yet PDP won.
Any of those 2 parties can still win in Ogun.

Group of thieves. Politics is business in Nigeria, not about serving the people. We claim to have adopted American constitution but only copied and turned it upside down. Joe Biden has been a democrat all his life, likewise most of their key politicians. If they must defect (which hardly happens), they remain independent like Joe Lieberman and Bernie Sanders , not to defect either to the ruling party or main opposition. What we have here are political harlots. They'd change party name but retain their corrupt culture. Same people are being hailed by some sycophants over peanut...Shame! 2023, we must get it right. Enough !
