The reset Nigeria Group has thrown her weight behind the calls for APC, PDP and other parties to perish the notion of zoning Power to North West and/or South West, insisting that such action will be counterproductive to the already precarious state of Nigeria.

The South East Director of the group, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu who spoke from the US, insisted that it was high time that Nigeria leaders began to think national and act to prove that the nation's progress is a collective responsibility of all the stakeholders, and not a personal inheritance of only a part.

Chief Dr. Kalu, who is also the National Coordinator of PDP Coalition cautioned that for the sake of peace and national cohesion, every stakeholder must be carried along.

"We have seen the North West and the South West handle the helms of Nigeria affairs. South South has had a shot at it, leaving out North East, North Central, and South East. I think any party that craves for a successful outing in 2023 should begin to put all these factors into consideration.

"It is high time we began to tell ourselves the truth as a people and exploit more reconciliatory steps that will unite rather than separate us" he cautions.

6 years GEJ-Ijawa
6yrs Nnamdi Azikwe-Igbo
5 years Abacha-Kanuri
7 years Buhari (+2yrs military regime)- Fulani
3 years Shagari-Fulani
2yrs Yar'adua-Tuareg
6 months Agunyi-Ironsi-Igbo
2years Murtala, Shonekan & Abdussalam-Fulani, Yoruba & Hausa respectively.
If calculated along religious line, it can be seen that Nigeria was ruled under Christians Presidents for atleast 32years while Muslims Presidents ruled for 28 years.
However, if calculated along geographical location, it can be seen that South ruled for almost 24yrs while North rule for almost 36yrs.
Yoruba ruled for approximately 12years, Fulani ruled for less than 11yrs, Angas ruled for 9yrs, Igbos ruled for 6yrs, Ijaw had 6yrs, Kanuri had 5yrs, Nupe had 8yrs, Tuarek had 2yrs while Hausa had 1year only.

Going by the logical distribution of power along ethnic and religious line it can be seen that accusing only one particular tribe or the other for Nigeria's failure is just a deliberate tactics by desperate power mongers and children of hate to put us into ethno-religious conflicts.
Since 1999 to present, two southern presidents used almost 14 years out of the 21 years and yet we southerners still complain of Fulani dominance everywhere like babies throwing tantrums.
The era of zoning should be replaced by competence because OBJ's regime favoured SW with gas pipeline from N/Delta only and nothing else was beneficial to them. Before 2015 many Northerners thought PMB would be savior and bring developmental projects that will change their lives in a miraculous way. GEJ was similarly useless to the masses of the rich oil N/Delta.
I'm in the North and I strongly believe that in the next coming election many Northerners won't vote along ethno-religious line as a result of perceived disappointment of PMB by majority Northerners.
The issue of voting base on religion and ethnicity is definitely going to leave North in 2023 and will shift to some section of this country as a result of perceived lopsided appointments by PMB, may be in 2031 Nigerian will learn how to vote credible, competent people without considering where they come from.
