No fewer than six herders were on Saturday night killed when unknown gunmen raided a settlement in Wasinmi village, Irewole Local Government Area of Osun State.

Our correspondent gathered that the unknown gunmen who stormed the Fulani settlement, opened fire and killed six herders on the spot.

Confirming the incident in a phone interview with our correspondent, the Osun state Police Public Relations Officer, Opalola Yemisi said that those killed are members of the same family, adding that investigation is ongoing
