strike action, nonchalant attitude, unqualified teachers, dilapidated schools have killed the primary and secondary education in Nigeria( no thanks to Government, teachers and teachers union ). little do we know that it's what is making people poor as parents have to pay the tuition fees of their kids through their nose. coupled with the stupid method of younger ones not able to use their elder ones text books. No nation can attain a good standard of living without one form of subsidy from the government.

Now, these lecturers and government are gradually leading tertiary institutions through the path of destruction the way they led primary and secondary school education. selfishness and greediness are the way to define a black man born and bred on the African soil more to the ones born in Nigeria.

We are quick to blame government but we would be worst than them when given the opportunity.

Rather than dole out cash to people (in the form of loans and Npower) that will still run down the government with foolish criticisms, the federal government should firstly, concentrate on paying all outstanding to ASUU and the rest, the rest can follow

That union needs to be made to understand striking is not the first action..

What are you guys even saying. So it is only okay to pay some group of criminals whose only duty is to congregate shout nil & yes, sleep, laugh & go home with millions in addition to loots in form of constituency projects, etc. Or is it the executhieves that keep reaching an agreement that they never keep even while they see the loots going on in the system. No work no pay should first applied to the person who left his duty post unconstitutionally without handing over to his deputy or clearly stating his whereabout to those whose tax money was squandered trying to revive his expiring self due to nature "old age". ASUU who is also a petty academic politician is only trying to copy them not that they are also accountable with all the different money collected from students.

To become a professor in Nigeria is a bit scary, but I know it depends on individuals. Academicians are entrepreneurs, they need to hustle for funds for their researches. But I guess most of these professors are gabbages, and it is why they will die on top of salaries. Not saying they shouldn't be paid, but if they are dutiful, they will not be worried about their salaries cos there are numerous streams of income for academicians who are smart and dutiful. Anyway, the few who are smart always leave.

Bro sit down and calculate how much money that they use to run the 3 weeks camping without adding the money those leaders will embezzle oo from the program. I am not talking about the allowance but the whooping amount of money they claim they are spending during the orientation camp.

where is the sense with this ASUU people..

You strike for over 10months and expect to get paid for doing nothing then you intend to strike again for not being paid for the 10months unpaid strike...
