A tragedy of monumental proportion was averted on Monday after a 40-foot container fell from a trailer in Lagos State on Monday and crushed three vehicles and a tricycle in the process.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), no life was lost or injuries sustained, some vehicles and the tricycle were badly destroyed.

The incident which happened at Barracks Bus-Stop inward Trade Fair on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway occurred after the driver of the trailer, who was reportedly driving recklessly lost control of the trailer as the container fell off destroying the three vehicles and a tricycle.

The vehicles destroyed were a black Toyota Yaris with registration number LSR 247 GP; a grey Honda CRV with registration number LND 80 BS; an ash colour Suzuki Minibus with registration number KSF 904 XY and a green tricycle with registration number AGL 831 QL.
