Melt Enterprise is a DGFT approved Pre-shipment Inspection Agency (PSIA). We are authorized to provide a Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) for metal and paper scrap loading in containers, at the loading port. As per the regulations in India, Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), all containers coming into India must be inspected at the time of loading by a DGFT approved agency for the presence of arms and ammunition, mines, shells, cartridges, or any other explosive in any form along with the radiation (Gamma & Neutron) level and subsequently should carry a Pre Shipment inspection certificate upon arriving into India. A Pre Shipment certificate or PSIC is mandatory for the cargo to be custom cleared in India.
