Tanzania's President John Magufuli encouraged citizens to pray in churches and mosques to defeat the ‘satanic’ coronavirus and refused free Covid-19 vaccines for his country.

Tanzania’s Vice President Samia Sulhu Hassan reported Mr. Magufuli’s death on state television shortly before midnight on Wednesday, saying he had died of heart complications while being treated in Dar es Salaam’s Mzena hospital.

“Tanzania has lost a courageous leader,” the vice president said through tears, standing next to the national flag.

But all of that has been discarded and a serious attempt is being made to paint him a failure because he insisted there were inconsistencies in the test results provided for covid specimens. ... With liquid specimens from Goats, pawpaw etc, all testing positive! For these the western media unloaded on him.. It's wrong and should be condemned.. Africans should be having their own pro-Africa narratives on topical events like this..
