Check: People were already living in the banks of the river even before the sixteenth century. They must have named it. They must have known it.

Why then is the eighteenth century Scottish, Mungo Park, given the credits? Because he's white and anything they say stands?

He discovered/documented the source of the river. Source of the river was not the concern or business of the Africans living in the area. Next
