The lifeless body of a day-old baby lying beside Ayinke Hospital by Airport Road, Ikeja, has been recovered by the Police.

The baby’s corpse was seen when Police Operatives attached to Ikeja Division responded to a call from the Security Department of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, on Saturday.

The baby was suspected to have been abandoned by his mother and must have been exposed to risks that caused his death, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the State Police Spokesperson, said in a statement
