Why aren't northern governors demanding more checkpoints to protect their school kids? Instead they're opting to shut down schools. If checkpoints are so effective why aren't we hearing rabid calls for more?

Every knows police checkpoints in Nigeria do little to nothing to stop crime. If they were so effective their would reports them catching bandits and kidnappers. The police department just set up checkpoints to collect bribes. Police man power would be better used going on patrol or investigating actual crimes. The juice isn't worth the squeeze in regards to the checkpoints.

Nigerians should ponder is there statistically less crime per capita in places with more checkpoints. What sort of offenders are usually caught. Has crime reduced as a result of increased check points or some other factors? Lastly have you witnessed someone getting arrested at a police checkpoints or naira changing hands?

The past incidents that happened how many times did you hear,see or read where the police was involved... what if these people are actually working for someone who's has strongholds in police cos it baffles me why we don't hear,read or see where they were intercepted by the police or even seen by anyone at all. All we read or hear next is there's an abduction here,you now ask yourself does it mean this people are spirit that the police doesn't know when they pass or move with their victims. They don't need more check points,they should keep doing hide and seek game with people's lives.

Lol that's all it takes for them to expose themselves. How many people have you personally seen arrrsted at these checkpoints since they work? I haven't seen one person after passing through dozens.

Lol the FG only knows how to put road blocks in the east. They're even mounting road blocks for ESN gunmen in Onitsha. I wonder why they couldnt do the same in the north after the crime rate jumped. This thread wont stop being relevant.

A report was sent to the police HQ that the east is over speeding, we set up the many checkpoints to stop speeding motorists to save lives.
